The varsity boys wrestling team finished in 7th Place out of 48 teams at the 49th annual Medina Invitational Tournament (MIT) over the holiday break. Cliff Nicholson won his 1st MIT title by pinning Avon's Eian Englehart in the 2nd period of the 285 pound championship match. Taegan Gilmore (126) and Dominic DiFilippo (113) also made it on the podium. Gilmore finished in 3rd place while DiFilippo took 4th.
