Varsity Girls Lacrosse wins with strong defensive effort against Strongsville

The varsity girls lacrosse team defeated Strongsville 15-7 on Tuesday evening behind a great defensive effort by Molly Gilbert, Addy Shook, Emma Koehler, and Deanna Hartmann. Goalie Gia Rohde finished with 5 saves in the game. Campbell Burns and Maddie Dawson each scored 4 goals. Audrey Thompson had 3 goals and an assist, while Paige Armstrong added 2 goals and 2 assists. Cora Claypool had 2 goals. Thompson won 12 draws, while Burns and Armstrong each won three.

Medina improves to 4-6 overall and 2-0 in the GCC. The Bees will be back in action on Friday evening when they welcome Eastern High School from Kentucky to Ken Dukes Stadium.
