Football falls to Brunswick in Tom Fasko Gridiron Classic

The varsity football team tried to pull off the greatest 4th quarter comeback in school history on Friday night but ultimately fell to Brunswick 44-36 in the Tom Fasko Gridiron Classic. The Battling Bees ran a county-record 100 plays from scrimmage for 449 total yards. Adam Barr finished 25-for-39 for 215 yards and 2 touchdown passes, while also rushing 15 times for 67 yards. Kaden Patrick entered in the 2nd half to go 15-for-24 passing for 120 yards, while running the ball 7 times for 55 yards. He tossed 2 TD passes as well. Cooper Sokolowski had 8 catches for 76 yards and a TD, while Noah Brown finished with 7 receptions for 67 yards and a TD. Bishop Burch had 2 TD receptions along with 5 total catches for 61 yards. Korde Carey scored on a 3 yard TD run. The defense got interceptions from Max Hilvert and Brown, while Anthony Gamble and Darian Smith recovered onside kicks.

Medina falls to 0-3 overall and will open up Suburban League play this Friday when they host the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs at Ken Dukes Stadium.
