The varsity girls volleyball team swept the non-league quadrangular hosted by Westlake High School on Saturday. Medina defeated all 3 schools that they went up against. The Bees topped the host Demons 25-18, 25-21, while also beating Berea-Midpark (25-23, 25-21) and Austintown Fitch (25-22, 25-18).

Kate Schellenberger had an outstanding day by compiling 29 kills. She also had 12 digs against Westlake. Eva Myers (6 aces) and Lauren Sherman (14 assists) had strong performances against Westlake. Myers also had 16 assists against the Titans, with Grace Tabaka getting 16 digs.

Against the Falcons, Tabaka had 9 digs and 3 aces, while Sherman had 16 assists.

Medina improves to 8-4 overall on the season. The girls will be back in action on Tuesday night when they host the Solon Comets in Suburban League action.
