The boys cross country team won the Suburban League National Conference championship on Saturday morning at Silver Creek Metro Park. The Bees (38) outpaced Hudson (78) to win the conference title in their first season in the league. Senior Zach Sohar finished in 2nd place individually with a time of 16:39 to lead the team. Logan Butsko (5th, 16:48), Noah Palombo (9th, 16:57), and Jackson Warfe (10th, 16:59) also clocked top-10 finishes in a race that featured five (5) state-ranked teams.

Sohar, Butsko, Palombo, and Warfe each earned All-League honors with their finishes. Trent Schirmer and Ethan Antill ran tremendous races but just missed all-league honors as they finished in 12th and 13th place, respectively.

Medina will be back in action on Saturday, October 31st when they travel to Boardman High School to compete in the OHSAA Division I Regional Meet. The Bees will be looking to qualify for the State Meet.
