Medina (1-1) came out flat vs Magnificat (3-0), the top-ranked team in Cleveland, falling behind 12-0 to open the game. The Bees struggled at both ends of the court, but picked up their defense in the second half behind the hustle of Gillian Kurka. Magnificat held a big rebounding advantage and hit seven 3-pointers to give them the edge.
Molly Gilbert, Abby Dress and Kinley Miller led the Bees in the scoring column. Freshman Haylie Perdue also scored her first career points.
The Bees will face Mentor on Wednesday, December 3 at home.
