Bees Swim Teams Use Different Ways to Sweep Rival Wadsworth

The Medina boys and girls swimming teams swept a non-league dual against county rival Wadsworth on Wednesday night. The girls team used depth to edge the Grizzlies 93-72 despite winning only 5 of the 11 races, while the the boys team won 10 events for a 127-39 victory.

Quinn Harrell and Sydney Robinson each won 3 events for the girls, including the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay. Robinson also won the 100 free, while Harrell won the 200 free. Harper Koennecke was on both of the winning relays. Eve Lindon was also on the 200 medley relay, while Taylor Stromberg helped on the 200 free relay. Lindon and Stromberg were joined by Chloe Eidenmiller and Addison Condit in completing the relay sweep in the 400 free relay.

Dylan Kish led the boys with 4 victories, while Jonathan Robinson and Brady Ryba each won 3 events. Robinson was on the winning 200 medley and 200 free relays and also won the 100 free. Kish won the 200 free, 200 free relay, 100 back, and 400 free relay. Ryba won the 200 free relay, 100 breast, and 400 free relay. Medina also got two wins apiece from Gavin Hawkins, William Carlson, Manny Heming, and Connor Larouere. Greg Kaufman also logged a win in the 200 medley relay.
