Medina (3-4, 3-2) dropped a 47-44 battle against Highland on Monday night, coming up just short after attempting a 4th quarter comeback. Up by 8 late in the first half, the Bees allowed the Hornets to take momentum into halftime and into the 3rd quarter. Highland led by as many as 13 before Medina fought back to within one basket and missed a long shot at the buzzer.
Abby Dress led all scorers with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists while Addy Shook added 12 points, 9 rebounds.
Medina's JV-A team (6-1) also lost, marking the Bees' first defeat of the season.
The Bees will break for Christmas before traveling to Orlando, Florida for 3 games to close out the calendar year.
