The varsity girls basketball team finished with a 2-1 record at the KSA Events Holiday Tournament in Florida over the holiday break. Here are the recaps of all three games:

Bees lost game #1 in Florida to a very strong team from Crittenden County, Kentucky (59-36). Addy Shook (8) & Viv Kelps (9) led the Bees while Sydney Novak & Kinley Miller gave a boost off the bench.

Bees won big in game #2 vs First Baptist Academy from Naples, Florida (61-16). Excellent defense, shooting & rebounding by the whole squad. Molly Gilbert (13), Addy Shook (11) & Abby Dress (9) led the way while Emma Carlson, Emily Fischer & Aly Gacek stepped up as well.

Bees won an exciting game #3 in Orlando, 42-41 over North Buncombe, North Carolina. Molly Gilbert hit a free throw with 8 seconds left and Abby Dress was named MVP with a team-high 16 points. Viv Kelps, Kinley Miller & Addy Shook also made huge contributions. Dress hit her 500th career point in this game as well. It was a great effort by all to win the consolation bracket and finish in 5th place.
