The gymnastics team went on the road this past weekend to compete at North Olmsted with Saint Joseph Academy and individuals from Holy Name, Fairview, Firestone, Avon, and Highland. The Bees came out on top after a rough start on beam followed by improved floor and vault rotations. The team was led by seniors Hailey Hofmann and Anna Schork in the all around. This meet marked the return of Anna in the all around after an ankle surgery in the offseason. Sophomore Bethany Hofmann competed a new vault routine, freshman Alexa Ricciuti with an upgraded bar routine, and freshman Madelyn Stahnke competed her first ever hit beam routine in a high school meet and finished with a stick! Senior Hailey Hofmann earned her first 9 on floor and junior Hailey Beauchamp tied for 3rd on beam. Sophomore Brianna DeBow and junior Caitlyn Oehlers both contributed to the team score while junior Loreli Nagel is gaining valuable experience as she did not participate in competitive gymnastics prior to high school. We are looking forward to continued improvement and experience as we head toward the February postseason. Go Bees!
