The Root 8th Grade Girls Basketball team defeated Strongsville Green in the GCC Championship game on Wednesday evening. The Bees finished with a 16-1 overall record, falling only to Stark County Power Jackson.

After falling in the Championship game as 7th graders, Root thoroughly dominated the 8th grade postseason tournament defeating Brunswick White (1st Round), Euclid (Semifinals), and Strongsville Green (Championship Game). The Bees used their unselfish play to win by an average of 32 points per game in the postseason. Congratulations on a great season!
