The varsity boys wrestling team finished in 2nd Place at the OHSAA Division I Sectional Tournament hosted by Austintown Fitch High School on Saturday. The Battling Bees led all teams with 4 individual champions. Medina will be sending 7 wrestlers to Districts along with 3 alternates. Champions included Dominic DiFilippo (113), Taegan Gilmore (120), Cooper Kaplack (126), and Cliff Nicholson (285). Tyler Bradshaw finished as runner-up in the 132 bracket, while Landon Stolz (106) and Lazar Kovacevic (165) both ended up in 4th place. The alternates include Cooper Lavender (138), Jack Storm (157), and Rocky DiFranco (190).

The qualifying Medina wrestlers will compete in the OHSAA Division I District Tournament at Wadsworth High School on Friday and Saturday this week with a spot in the State Tournament on the line.
