MEDINA SENDS 3 BOYS WRESTLERS TO STATE TOURNAMENT AS DISTRICT CHAMPIONS

The varsity boys wrestling team finished in 4th Place at the OHSAA Division I District Tournament hosted by Wadsworth High School this past weekend. Medina will send three wrestlers to the State Tournament that also claimed District titles. Sophomore Dominic DiFilippo will make his 2nd straight trip to State by winning the District title in the 113 pound weight class. Senior Taegan Gilmore won the 120 pound championship to earn his first State berth. Senior Cliff Nicholson won his first District title after finishing runner-up the previous two seasons. He will make another appearance in the State Tournament in the 285 pound weight class. All three wrestlers have a strong chance to make it to the podium this coming weekend. Tyler Bradshaw (132) finished in 6th place.
