The varsity baseball team started the regular season on Thursday in Myrtle Beach with a 10-5 win over Rush-Henrietta (NY) and a 3-2 victory over Pickerington North.
Lance Morgan (2 RBIs) and Billy Jackson (3 RBIs) both homered in the opener for the Bees. Brian Wuchter (double), Alex Rossetti (single and 2 doubles), Luke Pagura (single, double, 2 RBIs), and Jake Zajacz (single, double) also had good games at the plate. Pagura was the winning pitcher.
River Blomquist came in to save the nightcap after a strong start by winning pitcher Jake Rimke. Morgan and Pagura both doubled and each had an RBI. Blomquist finished with 2 singles and an RBI, while Rossetti added a double for the offense.
Medina improves to 2-0 on the season and will finish up their trip down South on Friday morning against Bensalem (PA).
