The varsity boys lacrosse team shut out Strongsville in the 2nd half to win its Greater Cleveland Conference opener by a score of 10-4 on Wednesday night. The Battling Bees scored seven 2nd half goals to overcome a 4-3 halftime deficit against the rival Mustangs. Lach Talley led Medina with 2 goals and 4 assists, while Austin Scott scored 3 times. Caleb Miller had 2 goals and an assist. Bryson Hoffman, Marshal Owings, and Chase McCurdy each scored once. Coby Miladinovic made 12 saves.
Medina improves to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the GCC. The boys will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to cross-county rival Wadsworth to take on the Grizzlies.
