The varsity baseball team defeated Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary 2-1 on Saturday at the University of Akron. Abe Soltero tossed a complete game and Ethan Toerek's sacrifice fly brought home Lance Morgan in the 4th inning to give the Battling Bees the lead for good. Alex Rossetti had a double and a triple, while Morgan also had a pair of hits that included a triple.
Medina improves to 16-3 overall on the season.
