The varsity baseball team defeated rival Brunswick 2-1 on Monday afternoon. Kaeden Kostilnik drove in Max Lewis and he would later score on a wild pitch in the 5th inning to help the Battling Bees come away with the win. Lewis had a pair of hits that included a double, while Joe Johnson also had a double in the game. Jake Rimke pitched 5 quality innings to earn the victory on the mound before Luka Pagura finished the contest with two no-hit innings for the save.
Medina improves to 17-3 overall and 7-1 in the GCC. The two Medina County rivals will take the field again today but this time they will play at Brunswick.
