The varsity girls lacrosse team defeated Strongsville 13-5 in an OHSAA Division I Regional Quarterfinal at Brunswick Middle School on Wednesday night. The Bees outscored the Mustangs 9-2 over the final 3 quarters, which included an 18 minute stretch of keeping them scoreless. Campbell Burns had a game-high 5 points that included 3 goals and 2 assists. Audrey Thompson and Paige Armstrong also had 3 goals for the Bees.
Medina improves to 11-9 overall on the season. This is the 7th consecutive season that the girls have reached the Sweet 16. The Bees advance to the Regional Semifinals next week against either North Canton Hoover or Saint Joseph Academy.
