The varsity baseball team defeated Cleveland Heights 12-1 in an OHSAA Division I District Semifinal on Wednesday afternoon. The Battling Bees pounded out 15 hits which included home runs by Brian Wuchter, Luka Pagura, and Maximus Lewis. Pagura went 4-for-4 on the day with 3 singles, the long ball, and 3 RBIs. Wuchter added a single, a double, and 2 RBIs to his leadoff blast. Joe Johnson had a pair of hits that included a double. Billy Jackson had 3 singles, while Kaeden Kostilnik had a hit and a sacrifice fly. Lewis' 3-run blast to opposite field officially ended the game in the 6th inning. Jackson earned the victory on the mound while striking out 6 batters. Jake Zajacz came on in relief to record 3 strikeouts.

Medina improves to 22-5 overall on the season. The #1 seeded Bees now advance to the District Final on Friday afternoon at North Ridgeville High School. They will take on the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets at 2pm.
