The varsity boys soccer team defeated Westlake 2-1 in the season opener on Wednesday night. Senior Jackson Harvey scored twice to lead the Battling Bees over the Demons. Iyan Copley assisted Harvey to open the scoring in the 1st half. After Westlake tied the match, Harvey scored again on a feed from Chase Wilbur. Zach Coersmeyer made 3 saves for Medina.

Medina improves to 1-0 overall on the season. The Bees will be back in action on Saturday night when they host GlenOak at Ken Dukes Stadium.
