The varsity football team fell to North Canton Hoover 18-14 on Friday night at Ken Dukes Stadium. The Battling Bees played fairly well, but some costly penalties and an inability to convert in pivotal situations came back to haunt them. Adam Barr finished 23-for-38 for 242 yards and a touchdown pass while adding another TD on the ground. He found Noah Brown from 27 yards out on the opening possession of the game to give the Bees a 7-0 lead. Ashton Knowles finished with 8 catches for 98 yards, while Bishop Burch had 5 catches for 64 yards. The defense shut out the Vikings in the 2nd half.

Medina falls to 0-2 overall on the season. They will travel to Brunswick this week to take on the Blue Devils in a non-league county rivalry matchup in the Tom Fasko Gridiron Classic.
