The varsity boys soccer team defeated Brecksville-Broadview Heights 1-0 on Tuesday night. Both teams entered the match undefeated in Suburban League National Conference play, but with the win the Battling Bees clinched at least a share of a title in their first year as a member of the league. Sophomore Cameron Moorman scored the game-winning goal in the 1st half off a pass from Xavier Abernathy. After that, goalkeeper Zach Coersmeyer and the defense provided the Battling Bees with their 6th shutout of the season.

Medina improves to 9-2-1 overall and 6-0 in the Suburban League National Conference. The boys will have a chance to win the league title outright next week at home with a win or a tie over the Solon Comets.
